I love this movie so much. I loved how colorful it was. How it had so many serious topics like generational trauma and death and they did it in a way that wasn’t scary for kids. The ending had me sobbing. Even my sister who hardly ever cries was tearing up and hit me for looking at her . This will definitely be a classic.
Coco was a fun time, even with the theme of death playing a role in the film. I also like that most (if not all) of the voice actors are Latin. It’s colorful, funny & has a lot of heart. Hopefully, Disney will make more animated films that center people that aren’t for the white gaze. On a separate note, I was one of those people who saw that Frozen special in theaters before Disney did away with it & it’s forgettable. Y’all didn’t miss anything.
