That fear of police is real and justified. Just last year I was pulled over for speeding on my motorcycle, which I was. It was a weekend, I was feeling good, and my hand was a bit too heavy. So I fly past an officer doing 65 in a 45. I immediately saw him and his lights came on. I pulled over cause I knew I messed up. By the time he pulled in behind me I had my helmet off and was leaning against my bike. He asked if I knew why he pulled me over. I said yes I was doing 65 in a 45. I apologized in my whitest voice and gave him my cooniest smile. I wanted him to know I wasn’t a threat. He seemed very relaxed and was actually cool. He asked for my info so I reach for my backpack to pull it out cause that’s where I keep my important info (wallet, insurance, phone) while riding. Before I could pull the backpack off my back he jumps back says “Whoa!!!†Puts his hand on his gun. My hands shot straight in the air and I started saying “Sorry†repeatedly. He ended up taking my backpack off my back and getting my info out himself cause I refused to put my hands down. I was 25 on the side of the road crying cause I thought I was gonna die.

What that restaurant manager did over yelp review was really scary. I often don’t even bother leaving reviews for mediocre restaurants, but that changed when I was trying to become a yelp elite member. Rod you and Karen should try to become one, you get invites and special promotions to different events like restaurant openings. So I started leaving reviews for all the restaurants that were “just ok†and reviewing places I frequent a lot like the bank in my grocery store. The manager of the rain forest café at Disneyland actually contacted me because of one of my reviews. The service was great, but the food was mediocre. He just apologized and asked me to take a survey to tell the restaurant with any of the do to become better and received a coupon for taking the survey.
But then I found out that I couldn’t become one because I actually have a business on yelp, Full Circle, Doula services. But I do enjoy leaving reviews for really awesome places or if something is exceptionally bad.
