I don’t know a lot about the Marc Lamont Hill situation other than he was fired. Maybe I’m just super petty but it’s really hard to feel sorry for this dude when he was one of the main ones saying there was no difference between Trump and Hillary and that he’d rather Trump get elected so things can get bad so that they could get better. And now that things are really bad that fool hasn’t said shit. I’m sure he’ll land on his feet once this blows over. People have very short term memories when it comes to stuff like this.
Marc Lamont Hill was left with no other option but to apologise. One quick way to get buried in some shit is to criticize Israel online. Israel does some shady shit. Their mistreatment of Palestinians is real and is deserving of harsh criticism. The problem is that the language used should be carefully chosen. You can’t credibly critique Israel while using phrases that anti semitic groups calling for it’s destruction, use. He’s an academic, he knows better.
