I did the Massage Envy groupon when they first opened here, and it was a good massage but yes, they did the high pressure sale right after it was done when I was all relaxed. I went the opposite way tho– too relaxed to engage so i just said nah and left. I never went back. I also disliked how they asked me personal questions to fill out the form right in the lobby in front of people.
I ended up finding a therapist working out of her sis’ place thru a friend of a friend 5 minutes from home, and been going to her every week for the last 7 years. Going to the same therapist is best cuz she knows my body and what changes week to week. It probably comes out to the same price as a Massage Envy package and i know my money is going directly to a neighbor.

This is not related to today’s episode but I have to share. I was getting my hair done last week and my stylist and I were talking about Beyoncé. It started out okay. We were both talking about how successful she is and how we both liked her. Then she started talking about Jay Z. Somehow she knew he was a bad husband and was no good. So I politely said that I didn’t worry about other people’s marriages and she agreed and changed the subject. To R Kelley. Lord, after two seconds she said “well, the girls are the ones who are really to blame”. I froze and didn’t know what to say. But I had to keep it nice since she was doing my hair. Somehow I managed to point out that R Kelley was taking advantage of girls who thought they were getting help with their singing careers. And she accepted it. Now I have to remember to never talk about anything except the weather when I get my hair done.
