I know that I’m late to the party, but this movie was f’n great!!! I got Starz added to my tv package because I needed that “P Valley” in my life, then I came across Brightburn while trying to find something new to watch. I LOVED THIS MOVIE. It was so unpredictable. It’s refreshing to see a movie where the “good guy” doesn’t show up to magicaly save the day. I hope we get a sequel but in the meantime I’m going to do some googling to see If this movie is based on comics, this could be an interesting universe to dive into
A part of me was hoping that Brightburn was better than I pictured it in my head. I was sold with the Superman but evil kid concept with that first trailer. Maybe it’s just me, but I felt the movie could’ve been 5-7 mins longer, cuz once Elizabeth Banks is the last to go, that’s kinda it. Speaking of Banks, why did the writers then turn her into a fucking idiot the whole, protecting this evil ass kid. I get that the creators of this project wanted a dichotomy with the parents, but it was overkill, in my opinion. And how she found out the evil kid’s logo, the payoff was very underwhelming. At least the over-the-top kills by the kid was nice, so I got what I wanted.
