Hey Rod, Justin, and hopefully Karen, this is Tim aka Black Gaytheist Pilot saying what’s up. I’m several episodes behind in BDS and PG, but today I was in my kitchen making meals for next week and listening to
PG episode 209, when you mentioned becoming a half season ticket holder. I didn’t even realize it until you said that, but y’all are directly the reason why I, someone who 3 years ago hated anything Sportsball related, is now a full season ticket holder to the Thunder.
So I’ve been a premium TBGWT member for awhile but I always skipped BDS, because I’m literally the only person amongst ALL my friends and family that doesn’t watch any sports of any kind. But I really love the movie reviews, LSG, etc. so I figured maybe I could learn a little something about sports from y’all. NIGGA. I still may not completely understand what the hell is going on in a football game, but I now know more about the personal lives of the players than even my most sports-loving friends, and your talk about pick-up ball at the Y got me interested in actually watching basketball with a more informed eye. Watching games led to me driving down to Oklahoma City from my tiny town a couple times a month to go to Thunder games, and last year I became a half-season ticket holder. I loved going to the games so much, that I became a full season ticket holder for this upcoming year (I know, I picked the WRONG year to do that, lol!) but I’m looking forward to it, and I want to thank you, Justin, and Karen for awakening a passion that I didn’t even know was there. Participation trophies for everyone, niggas only! (Still don’t get the reference but I’m here for it), and take care!
Timothy
