This is one of my favorite movies. I loved the sets, the way it was filmed, all the details. I felt immersed in the story. I thought the casting was great. I didn’t predict the ending which was nice.
Great solo review!!!
I’m so happy you reviewed this! I caught it streaming and I was instantly drawn in. I loved the visuals, the way the story unfolded, and all of the performances. Ms. Erivo was definitely a standout. My mouth dropped open when she started singing because sis has serious pipes.
Hello Rod,
I’m glad you took Kriss’s advice and watched Bad Times at the El Royale. I was one of the few people who actually went to see this film when it was in the theater. I loved it and thought it suffered from bad promotion. I loved the different ways the characters came together and what motivated their actions. I agree that there were great performances throughout the film with Bridges, Erivo and Hemsworth (who continues to show that his talents are underrated) as standouts. Hopefully, this film will find an audience through streaming and cable airings and it will become one of those films that years later people wonder how it could have bombed at the box office.
