Hey Rod, Justin, and probably Karen (because there’s nothing else to do, Sal)!
I wanted to encourage y’all to keep shaming people into staying they asses in the house, cuz it works! It worked on me.
My oldest brother, who is from England, flew into the country with his wife whom I have yet to meet face-to-face or have a full conversation with (…a topic for another time). We had scheduled a meet & greet with our dad’s side of the family. Our dad is one of sixteen kids so with the significant others, kids, THEIR kids, and extended family it was gonna be a whole bunch of niggas in close quarters. And we all get along so hugs, cheek kisses, group photos/videos are also a given with us. I was steadfast in my decision to fly into Houston tomorrow to at least see my brother for the first time in over 2 years and meet my new Sister-in-Law even if they cancelled the brunch and we had to visit relatives individually…
But then you niggas and your “common sense” and “caring about the rest of the world” got to me. The podcast discussions about the virus outbreak got to me. Also there was a flight attendant on twitter talking about how she argued her crew down about how they had a responsibility not to go exploring the cities they had overnights in because they come into contact with so many people on a regular basis that they’re potentially infecting more people. I cancelled on Sunday. I work at a hotel a block away from Universal Studios and all of my roommates work at Disney World so we all have high contact with a lot of people from all over and have the same responsibility.
Our whole house was sick a few months ago with flu-like symptoms of different levels of severity. Aside from that, there’s no fucking way we’re not asymptomatic carriers at this point. I wouldn’t be able to take the guilt of knowing that I caused others to get sick, let alone my own family, because I decided to be hardheaded. The way my depression is set up, that would sit with me for life.
Keep. Shaming. These. Niggas.
Also: Disney and Universal are sending all of their college program kids HOME. Shut down the housing instead of leaving them open at least 2 weeks so they can self-isolate before going to infect their home communities after coming into contact with people from all over the world on a daily basis. A bunch more people are gonna get sick after these kids find a way home. These companies are being so damn irresponsible.

Pre-Game Feedback
There is nothing that I love more than when Pre-Game turns into a Lip Smackin Good episode!!! I have listened to the last three or four Pre-Game episodes over and over again like three times each.
You all inspired me to make a few of the dishes you talked about, get some good dumplings, and buy a few new ingredients. Rod, I had to find the shuckin and jivin episode when you made your ribs so I could replicate. MY MAN!!! Those ribs were good. I’ve listened to that episode and made ribs three times now, and it doesn’t fail me. The sauces and spices may be different, but the technique and rib type is the goddamn truth.
While on quarantine (and really every day of my life), I’m behind the pay wall listening to all the old episodes on TBGWT. They are all fantastic!

And if so, what’s it like when you come home and interact with Rod?
