Not only did they do that to children, the Republican senators and Mike Pence visited the cages and were absolutely pleased by the sight of the concentration camp they created. This administration came along and was just evil enough to fulfill their wildest immigration/border fantasies. I will always remember the look on Lindsay Graham and Mike Pence’s face on the safe side of that gate while men were begging them. How do they sleep at night?

Contact tracing is sloppy, and I do think people have just given up on it. My mom’s recently been in the hospital for the past 3 weeks which required me to come back home to Greenville (NC) and trying to see her was a hit or miss depending on who sat at the front desk and decided to enforce the hospital’s protocol. (I had to go in cause she had a freak brain injury and we had to do the decision making. She’s coming home though, expected to make a full recovery. Thanks science!)
The hospital rules were:
-hit the hand sanitizer station (some did, some didn’t)
-temperature check (There were a couple of times, they didn’t even bother)
-2 people per day (You’d see parties of 4+ going to see people)
-get a wristband (they never changed the color, so if you wanted to, you could keep that same wrist band on for days, and just get by)
-face mask (people would pull them down once they got past the lobby desk)
I’d see nurses on the floor not wearing masks. This is the hospital. Vidant Hospital at that. And when you look at what’s in place, it’s like they (the hospital) weren’t trying to keep track of potentially positive carriers in the first place.
PS. Her condition wasn’t covid related. However, once they deemed her fit to be downgraded from ICU, they couldn’t, because there was no room in the IU or regular beds. For reference, Vidant has 974 beds. My fault for the long post there.
