Look who’s back from quarantine to bless the NBA. My beloved Wizards are back to set the league on fire!! It looks like the Wiz are swirling down the shithole left behind the Coochie Coup at the Capital. Now, that NBA world watched Bradley average 35 PPG with a 3-11 record and they wanna save him. It’s kinda frustrating when your best player is lighting up the box scores but you only get 3 wins. Hopefully, it will be a tank worthy season because I can’t take another 44 win season AKA NBA purgatory. Never good enough to be good but never sorry enough to be sorry. Just another bland salt to flavor ass season.
I’ll miss Bradley Beal. He’s currently in his prime years on the Wizards and this is the best it’s going to get for the Washington Basketball Team. He can’t be the best player on a contending team. He’ll be a great number two or three player on a good organized NBA franchise team. Sadly, the NBA saw this movie several times starring Kevin Garnett, Devin Booker, Vince Carter, Gordon Hayward, Kyrie Irving, DeMarcus Cousins etc.

What’s up Rod, Karen & Josh Allen. So much for the great white hype dethroning the newest GOAT of the QB in Patrick Mahomes. Now, he didn’t play catastrophically bad, but that stupidity creeped right back into his soul like Herman Cain risking it all for the Rona to go to a damn Trump rally. Also, I never really bought into his ascension of QB tiers like a Mahomes, Deshaun Jackson or even a Lamar Jackson. He’s a fine QB, just not an amazing one, in my opinion; and, he played like milk & toast, thankfully. The Bills should be around in playoff contention for awhile, but they’ll have the same problem as the Ravens have had against this iteration of the Chiefs because nothing stops Mahomes & his slate of receivers. He’s never been blown out or is in contention, no matter what. Tampa Bay has played a lot better since their last loss in the regular season & can potentially cause havok for Pat & Kansas City in the Super Bowl, but I refuse to doubt that young man.
Speaking of doubt, the fuck was that Aaron Rodgers? Look, Tom Brady going to his 1,000 SB is impressive, but he was damn turnstile in that game & I think the crazy thing from that game, last week, besides the Packers not scoring a TD on their last drive, they failed to take advantage of two straight gimmie Brady INTs! Aaron came up pretty short & has no one to blame but himself here. I don’t even care if this the best he’s ever played in 5 NFC Championship games. Moreso, he wanted the home-field advantage to play in Lambo & that happens? Not caping for him here. As for the criticism of Lafleur not going for it on 4th down, I understand it, I just don’t agree with it. No matter what happens with Aaron Rodgers as a Packer, I think he blew his best chance of going back to a SB since winning it all in 2010.

Baker Mayfield improved a great deal this season and might be the best QB the Browns have had since 1999 (equal parts testament to how well he’s played and how blighted the Browns QBs have been). But if the Browns had even a chance to Deshaun Watson? Progressive Insurance can shoot a new commercial with a U-Haul taking him outta Browns stadium. No, the Browns are not looking to move on from Baker but I’d gladly take Deshaun Watson on the Browns cuz my eyes work and I want to see the Browns win more games.
Did y’all see Big Ben wants to come back to the Steelers next season cuz he thinks he can give them a real chance of winning? I would love to see Big Ben come back another year and hold the Steelers back even further from winning. I can’t wait to see which niggas get the boot so Ben can make *all* his money at the expense of that franchise.

Mahomes is going to another superbowl and will represent for the Black QBs. But the biggest news that night was Trey Songz beating up a police officer and getting arrested after the game. At first it seemed like he was protecting himself because a nigga cut him off. But now it sounds like he went a fuck crazy because he didn’t want to wear a mask. Also did you all see that the Eagles finally got their coach. A dude no one has heard about and in the same fashion the coach hires a staff that looks just like him. Not only all white guys but potential doppelgangers of himself. Not to mention in GTBW fashion this man interviewed in casual clothes and the Eagles wanted him to feel comfortable so they all wore casual clothes as well. But any way love the show as always.

Who is David Culley? Just the next black man to win Houston’s latest hollow prize. The new Texans coach seems like he was hired as “please baby please” move to keep Deshaun Watson, who (rightfully) saw right through this ploy and asked for a trade in what felt like minutes after the announcement of Culley as the coach. I can only feel but so bad for the guy since he’ll get a good check and, who knows…. he might be good and they might do well. But I do hate watching someone being setup to fail, especially when that failure will be used to justify not hiring other black coaches with equal or better credentials. Just chalk this one up to the NFL being aint shit and the media that covers them being nearly as aint shit (s/o to Kemdoc).

Full disclosure, I am a long time patriots fan who thought I could cheer for them openly this season with Cam at the helm, but that is a different discussion for another time. I started the game hoping to root for Aaron Rodgers, but I just can’t quit that piece of shit. He is the Christina Braithwaite to my Ruby Baptiste. Oh well. Nate Burleson brought it up at the end of a three hour show……These shows have talked exhaustingly and enthusiastically about domestic violence when it’s Ray Rice, Greg Hardy, Adrian Petersen and his son, Demarcus Cousins threatening his ex girlfriend….the Giants cornerback and his robbery case gets major coverage….but this gets a minor blip at the end of the show. It’s just interesting to me.

Seems like the NFL would love everyone to avoid talking about Chad Wheeler leading up to the Super Bowl. The story detailing his brutal domestic violent raged assault is devastating. Not to mention the fact that he brutalized his black girlfriend. And he’s out on bail when he’s a clear threat to her. Right now I don’t give a damn about anything else. This happened Monday night. Man does time fly, it was a year ago when we lost Kobe! And I remember the bds you guys did basically dedicated to him and it was awesome! It is now a year later and I remember it like it was yesterday! Sometimes I still can’t believe it. But to add insult to injury, Jan 26 (Tuesday) we also lost sekou smith who works on nba tv! And nba.com to covid! That was a shocker on what already is a somber day! Thoughts and prayers to his family.
On a lighter note, who the hell you know goes back to their hometown/old team and drops 46 in a win, in their 18 year? THE KANG! Your fav could never! I mean how can you not marvel at what he is doing now compared to 10 years ago? It’s more impressive now than before in my opinion, back then you expected it! Most players don’t last this long much less still play at a high level and still a mvp candidate! I’m sure gonna miss him when he walks away from the game! Those are huge shoes to fill!
Lastly, the pels are putting lonzo and jj reddick on the market! Lonzo is a restricted free agent and jj is unrestricted. Obviously jj will end up either bought out or traded to a contender to finish up his career! But where could u see lonzo going? Don’t see like it’s working out in Nola! I had a feeling when he declined the extension and it has been having a rough season so far!
