Boss Level is a nice film to kill some time off, if you got nothing else better to do. It’s simple, short, fun & enjoyable. I mean, real talk, this film got me to laugh at Mel Gibson being funny with his “let’s not make this about race, it’s a sword” quip about swords with Guan Yin. Needed to rewind that, given that dude’s history with anti-semitism & racism. I simply couldn’t stop laughing at that. Frank Grillo isn’t my ideal lead for something like this, but I bought into it. Even pretty Selina Lo repeating her “I am Guan Yin & I have done this”. It was fun & I wouldn’t mind a sequel.
