As a New Yorker, growing up, before the days of cable, we had public access channels and on channel 31, There was a classic show called
Video Music box, Where we could see music videos from our favorite hip
Hop artists! And this was before “yo mtv raps “ or BET!! It was a big deal for about 15 years! But of course things changed, as things always do! The show stopped when the channel went in a different direction and was sold.
Showtime just did a documentary on Ralph McDaniels and the video Music box show! It’s worth checking out!
