Hello Rod and Karen,
Thank you for your review of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train. I am relatively new to anime, and of all the shows I have watched/am watching, Demon Slayer is my absolute favorite. I agree with Karen, it is colorful and drawn on such a spectacular level. In fact Rod, it was you who turned me on to Demon Slayer. I recall you mentioning it on The Nerd Off, and saying it had just started with the first two episodes airing on Cartoon Network’s Toonami. So, I watched those episodes On Demand, and have been rolling with it ever since.
As for your analysis of Mugen Train, you were dead on with everything you said. I sat there watching with my mouth wide open when Rengoku died. I kept thinking it was going to be revealed to be some sort of continuation of the dream demon, but alas, it was not.
Question: Did you see the additional episode where Tanjiro and crew went to Rengoku’s house and interacted with Rengoku’s father and brother? It made who Rengoku was all the more impressive, and the reality of his death all the more heartbreaking.
