Rod, congrats on Game Theory getting renewed for season 2! I can’t wait to see what fire y’all cook up next season!
Maybe it’s something in the water but this was a strange NFL draft in that none of the teams made any wild picks; I’m talking drafting a QB way too high (especially since most of this QB class was considered weak) or trading the farm for picks. In fact, combined with no team trading to take Baker Mayfield off the Browns hand’s and this might be the first time I’ve ever seen this many NFL teams be not-stupid all at the same time. Baker Mayfield might be the first QB where the league said, “We know it’s usually the Browns, but naw nigga you a problem too”. Whole league said Baker got bad vibes and is unpleasant to be around, and that’s gotta hurt too as a white QB in the NFL.
When Doc Rivers had his “why y’all bringing up old shit when y’all know these niggas was sorry” plea copping session about blowing playoff series leads, he spoke with a confidence that convinced me that Doc most definitely preps a lineup for the game *and* a post game lineup for who is getting thrown under the bus. Do y’all think Doc is gonna insinuate that Harden should’ve spent more time at the gym than the strip clubs in the off season?
Meanwhile out West, I’ve long wondered why folks always talked about Zion Williamson’s health like he was a thicc Mister Glass while Ja Morant out here flying and hitting the floor like an Attitude Era pro wrestler? Anyway, Ja told them boys to hop on his skinny shoulders as he carried the Grizzle in the 4th quarter and goddamn this has been fun to watch. Conversely, Luka tried to do the same thing for the Mavs and been getting his ass lit like Kevin Samuels hitting the Lower Room.
Since they both gonna start their off seasons in 2 games each, whose gonna have more fun: Luka or James Harden?

Tannehill was giving me “my name is Bennett and I ain’t in it†vibes when asked about mentoring rookie qb and newly draftee Malik Willis. Of course Twitter had to take part, the funniest tweet was ceedy Johnson of the saints, saying “I hope bra take yo job!â€
Now I see it both ways! You should help a rookie the way you were helped! But you also helping a guy who could take your job! But In the same breath, if you get injured, preparing your backup to be successful in your absence would make sense!
On the nba side of things, a good friend of mine and die hard fan all things Philly is blaming doc rivers for the orbital injury that embiid is currently dealing with that caused him to missed the first 2 games of the second round. He says Philly was up by 30 in the 4th quarter with 4 mins to go, and doc elected to leave them starters in the game! Had he took them out maybe just maybe embiid would have missed them games and maybe they would be playing tonight maybe 1-1 instead of 0-2! What say you guys? In other injury news, dam shame Gary Payton II broke his elbow, off that foul by Dillion brooks! Some say how brooks get suspended but not draymond? Others say brooks should have gotten suspended at all! The flagrant 2 was enough! What day you guys?
