My birthday is mid June so I always take the week off; not because I’m a believer in birthday weeks or months, I just have a lot of paid time off. This year with the new Juneteenth holiday that week off plus that extra day was glorious, despite the demon heat! In the future I’ll make sure that my June week off is always touching Juneteenth.
I also listen to artists who are younger than me at least I try to.
If it’s not for me I don’t hate on them I assume it’s not for me.
I like Lil nas x for example or Billie Eilish.
They do new interesting stuff.
I could never get into drake but it’s obviously just not for me.
Ketamine is a legit anti depression drug for treatment resistent depression.
Its a nasal spray.
I read a lot about it and found it very interesting. How a drug has a certain image and how it can change over time.
Cocaine and heroine started as medical drugs. Cocaine was used to stop alcohol dependence. ( I am sure it works but gives you new, worse problems) heroine was a pain killer ( same here) cigarettes were recommended by doctors to loose weight. ( and also same here)
Weed used to be seen as bad and dangerous. MDMA is now used to help with ptsd.
It’s interesting how this all changes.
I asked about the mp3 option because I hesitate to call an American number. Dan Savage has it too. But I understand you not wanting it.
When I had treatment-resistant depression a few years ago, I went through every conventional medicine and didn’t see improvement, so my doctor recommended getting a ketamine infusion at a local pain clinic. I have no idea why anyone finds it enjoyable recreationally; I felt woozy and gross for a few hours and then went home. I don’t think it did anything for my depression, and it cost me a few hundred dollars because my insurance didn’t cover it. (Luckily I’m doing better these days.)
I got it as a floating holiday, and made sure I took it off.
