If I saw this in theaters, I’d feel much disdain for this, but Samaritan is….like a person walking a crossing-light in the middle of the street: Pedestrian. Sylvester Stallone does a nice job in a fairly derivative film that could’ve offered more to the table. Him being the actual bad guy was kinda novel, but, for me, the setting & characters did need some more establishing here. I did laugh at a scene involving Sam’s mom being manhandled with Sam proceeding to calling Sil a bitch but he hit Smith, who was bitching him around the whole movie. That was a “chef’s kiss” moment, for what it’s worth.
