I’ll be brief: What a movie. It’s endlessly brutal, depicting the absolute horrors of war, let alone it being the first World War and just trying to get through with the looming armistice. Big fan of the actors in this. Obviously, Daniel Bruhl is great per usual but Felix Kammerer, Edin Hasanović and Albrecht Schuch were equally stellar. What a film. Shit took my breathe away, like Paul getting stabbed at the last second before that armistice.
