Pinocchio or Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio’s a top-notch spin on a character that I didn’t think needed another attempt. All you needed was a splash of fascism, themes of mortality and being a good person. Shit was very impressive. Even the stop-motion was that, as well. Maybe should’ve been cut 10 minutes, though, this film has such an endearing spirit, it wasn’t a burden.
