What’s good my favorite podcasting trio (salutations always to Karen),
I highly recommend that Wakanda Forever podcast, it is a great time yes it gets emotional. However, it shows why it’s more than a movie (but you already knew that).
Back when I was stationed in Bahrain, through a Nigerian professional volleyball player that I connected with, I got introduced to basketballers, and volleyballers, from United States playing in the Kingdom. They were like kings over there (all men) the white dude wouldn’t even shake my hand lol. Back then, I didn’t think much about athletes from America plying their trade in the tiny Middle Eastern country. Soccer is the biggest sport in the world, there’s a professional league in almost every country. If you aren’t a star name in the United States, you’re not paid better than many countries in the world. One way to know if a league has some money is if there are Brazilians playing there. From Azerbaijan, before the invasion of Ukraine to Saudi Arabia, Brazilians are everywhere. One sign that something was up with China’s economy, was when about 6-7 years ago the Communist Party ordered the big teams to stop blowing cash on big stars (they were outspending Europe). Africans were heading to China a lot, clubs started struggling to pay players … so you guys hit the nail on the head when it comes to men going out for the $$$. Finally, When I was living in Texas and I wanted to buy a car. The brother at the Toyota dealership told me that he lived in Saudi Arabia for a few years and that’s how he paid off his mortgage. He misses the pay. I wanted to move overthere at one point in time cause I knew how the system in the Middle East works, American passport = highest wages followed by British or EU. My only inspiration Then was $$$!
