Hey Rod & Karen,
I’m totally down with the complete ridiculousness of these Fast movies. I enjoyed Jason Mamoa cooning his ass off and I wouldn’t be surprised if John Cena’s character is not dead. Now that they’ve brought back Gal Gadot they might as well bring back some of the people from the early Fast movies, cause why not lol. When the movie becomes available on streaming I’m going to watch it again and play a drinking game where I take a shot every time someone says “FAMILY .LOL. Thanks for reviews, peace.

Well, guess I’ll be reevaluating F9, cuz, yeah, the cracks have been evident since Furious 7 so sentimentally. If Momoa wasn’t chewing up the screen with such hammyness, I don’t think I’d been as receptive to this. If this film had a less impressive bad guy, it’s probably in my bottom-tier but considering how sloppily edited it was, heavily green-screened, among other things, this one felt like work, compared to the peaks and valleys of Fast Five, Fast 6 & Furious 7. Some actors shouldn’t even be in this, either, as the script just shoehorns anyone who likes these films. I will give GOTGV3 & The Suicide Squad’s Danielle Melchior a shout-out. She was one of the few new actors who worked here. I love Brie Larson but she & Alan Ritchson really weren’t needed here. Statham, likewise. They’re fine, but this movie is just overstuffed with lots of needlessness. I’ll be there for Part 11 & 12. It’s just clear that the glory days of this series brand of family and ridiculousness peaked a decade ago
