Hello Rod, Karen and Justin –
I’m here to give Queen Karen her flowers for her voice work on the last episode of Drapetomaniax! Girl, you did that! Take all the credit and the praise, because you’re not new to this, you’re true to this, and you deserve! Apparently that wasn’t the last episode for me, though; I’d missed the episode in August about the smallpox vaccine with J-L Cauvin and Damon Jones, and wow, they were the perfect people to voice that! I’d just finished reading about this in the Black AF History book and it was right on time.
Sad to hear about Ms. Kitchenista. Have not been on Twitter to see this, but when I was a couple of years ago, I frequented her page and saw those exchanges as they happened. Hopefully now she can concentrate on creating and maintaining peace in her life, because this one life is all that we have and how do we want to spend it? Her recipes are still fire though, she tossed off a simple buttermilk pancake recipe for two on her feed and I use it to this day! Delicious!

Great episode! I too will be listening to Andre’s flute album. I saw a reel KevOnStage did that had a snippet of the flute and it made me think he should colab with Solange. A few years ago he sent out a snippet of his flute playing for Mother’s Day I think and I was feeling it then. I think it’s inspiring when an artist pivots and just wants to make the art they want to make.
I also started watching Twin Flames, I’m on the first episode. It always funny to me the common timeline of cult leaders. This man tried so many types of scams and schemes before the Twin Flames thing took off. I told my sister about it and she asked “has anyone died yet?” . I’ll see if I make it past this first episode to find out.
