Thank you so much for your review and verbalizing of what made me dislike the movie. It was boring, but Patrick Wilson’s scenes were the best. Why did I want to more Randall Park and Patrick Wilson, and less Jason Momoa? I was taken so much out of this film that I did that terrible nerd thing of pointing out everything that reminded me of a better Marvel movie. I didn’t see the first one so I had no expectations.
There’s a good buddy cop movie with Jason Momoa, Patrick Wilson & Randall Park. Particularly Momoa & Wilson doing their best trying to get through the muck of a lot of this. Them alone, kept me mildly engaged. Poor Yahya Abdul Mateen II being wasted in this “clownwork”. Thought he was fine in the first film, he just needed more to do. They give him more to do…..and be a pawn for a ghost. Yeah, dude’s wasted here. Such a shame.
In a way, it somewhat exceeded my expectations considering with how the DCEU has nose dived. I didn’t feel good about this going in & I never say that about any project. It was pretty apparent that WB was trying to get this over with.
