Great guest. I’ll definitely check out MJ’s book.
That gender wars is one I’ve been seeing all over social media. I think it’s wild to expect someone who hasn’t already agreed to treat you to pay for your meal, especially in a large group. I have been in a situation where I went out of in a group and everyone was ordering normally and one person ordered three drinks two appetizers that they didn’t share and one of the most expensive items on the menu and dessert. When the check came she was the main person who wanted to split the bill evenly. We all got separate checks because the math wasn’t mathing because her bill alone was a couple hundred dollars and she didn’t have it. She expected all of us to chip in to help her pay her bill. I don’t remember what ended up happening but I paid my own check and left. If people have nothing else, they will always have the audacity.
Rod, have you heard of NOSTR? It’s the non-corporate version of social media. If you have, what do you think about it? The vibe is different compared to the well known platforms.
MJ was a great guest even at 5am. So glad you were able to squeeze in a Gender Wars segment with him. Y’all are so great at engaging guests. Episode barely felt like an hour
I am listening and watching at work on Thursday, and I love this episode’s wisdom, laughter, and blackness! Five Stars!

So much genuine wisdom from MJ Harris – love this guest and this episode! “Stop being a people pleaser” is such a lightbulb moment. I didn’t even realize that I was like that for so long, and am prioritizing my wishes more and more each day and letting go of guilt that came along with that.
