Hey Rod and Karen,
I’m a few weeks behind with this comment but I always forget to write before Saturday. As your friendly neighborhood Disney Adult, I just wanted to give some insight. While I’ve never gone into debt to visit Disneyland, pre-pandemic I did have an annual pass and I would go down to SoCal about 4 times a year and stop at the park. I think it’s a lot more expensive now and you definitely get more bang for your buck if you visit multiple days in a row (right now a single day during peak season can be over $200 but going multiple days in a row can be around $80/day). As an adult and someone who goes solo, I take advantage of the single rider lines and use the Genie+ (formerly MaxPass) to reserve ride times on my phone. My favorite things are the seasonal food items, pictures with the characters, and there’s a few rides I always hit when I’m there. I think it’s definitely something I enjoy because I’m not there with kids (or even a group of adults) and I can do things at my own pace. Also having a pass gave me food and merch discounts. And with all the Marvel, Star Wars, and classic Disney stuff I think it hits a sweet spot for folks around our age. Any way I’m always here for any Disney tips and tricks. I love helping people maximize their fun at the park. ✌

Whatever happened with your bully after you whooped his ass? Did he mess with you again? Have you run into him again when you were adults? I was so invested in that story.
Your story of beating up your bully was super satisfying, just sayin’.
Rod, just want to say, many listeners asked about the music and asked you to tag it. I just want to say thank you for making the effort and trying to name the artists and tracks as often as you do. You are doing a great job, and I see you.
I commented yes on the poll, not because I did any traditional celebrating on white people’s freedom day, I saved that for Juneteenth. I did however spend countless minutes watching the They Not Like Us music video. Kendrick gave me two holidays in a row dunking on Aubrey, and I love it.
I went to Top Golf and enjoyed sushi on that other holiday. I have watched They Not Like Us at least 20x.
As for the poll, our dog gets really agitated during July 4th. Since it was just the 2 of us at home, I decided to make the house as loud as possible while he chilled in the basement. Either old age got to him or my experiment worked, he seemed calm throughout the night. Hmu if you need an unlicensed dog whisperer. I also didn’t feel like hearing people whine about Biden too, so I finished watching Sweet Tooth on my couch to fireworks outside.
Congratulations on your new network! I wish you all the success!
My last eye exam was 2 years ago. When I do a new one I will send you the results!
I try not to spiral too much about the American election because I can’t vote in it and can only pray. Should I?
I’ll do it and I’m not religious.
Dear God, it’s not even about me directly.
I dont want my friends Karen and Rod to live in misery.
Hallo Appiah, it’s taken more than a minute to get used to commenting here on regular episodes as I still find myself going back to Spotify (old habits).
I was mostly in Münster, but did go to see Spain vs Italy at the Schalke stadium ( I don’t want Rod biting his tongue ). I’m mostly play around in the Northwestphalia areas. Funny enough most of the Germans in my neck of Brooklyn are from Bavaria, Austria and Switzerland.
Thanks!
Unfortunately I have now to womansplain. Austria and
Switzerland are separate countries.
Austria, the home country of Hitler, Switzerland famously neutral.
So maybe you mean German speaking?
Keine Ahnung Appiah lol. I know the difference, I just didn’t feel like typing a lot. I got family + friends in those countries too. The people in my neighborhood all identify as German, so it’s not up to me to start saying you’re from Austria or Switzerland not Germany. I have also met French and Italian folks from Switzerland too. My kid’s KinderHaus admin is from a Polish family but was born and grew up German in Switzerland. So whenever she goes to Polish areas of NYC, she has funny stories that you would relate to.
I hope Rod doesn’t read this hahaha
*German speaking ist richtig btw.
See I remembered to respond Apia (I’m used to Ghanaian spelling forgive me).
I’m impressed, thank you!
