Mozel tov to Patrick Beverly on signing to play basketball in Israel next year. 5 years ago when he told Steph Curry the next 5 years were his, who knew Pat Bev was talking about his frequent flyer miles? Steph Curry only has 1 championship for 1 team in the last 5 years but the human Black Air Force One has earned countless SkyMiles playing for 6 teams in that same time span. While Steph Curry was out here hooping and carrying the Warriors his back cuz he has actual talent? Pat Bev was getting it out the mud cuz he ain’t got no talent; who can forget bringing the camera on the court during the Lakers playoff loss? Or when he celebrated Minnesota getting out the first round like they won a title? Why advertise your podcast professionally when you can be a dick to local media about it like Pat did in Milwaukee? In light of Skip Bayless going out sad at Fox Sports after Shannon left and his show literally turned into a knockoff “Niggas Hollering” from “May The Lord Watch”, it’s fitting to see someone like Pat Bev make his way so far off so little ability.

Well, Shannon Sharpe is having the last laugh. Looks like Skip Bayless is set to leave Undisputed at the end of this summer. SMH!! That fool had no idea what he set in motion when he told Shannon to put his glasses back on. Anyway, the sports media landscape is a whole shit show right now both in the traditional arena like ESPN and with the glut of ex-players on the podcast scene. Anyway, do you think Skip is done? IMO, he is perhaps the Godfather of Hot Take sports media. He is a crazy MFer and has had some wild takes (see Tebow and Lebron) but I do believe he was “authentic” in that it wasn’t a shtick – he really believed that shit. He is also one of the last of a dying breed – a for real journalist. Say what you will but that dude had the credentials both in education and working his way up through print and radio/TV. Crazy or not, dude was a pro. How do you think he will be remembered?

We’re all well aware of the racism that has fueled all of the Angel Reese/Caitlin Clark noise. Well, the Sky may have unintentionally leaned into this racial tension, as this trade makes them the only team in the WNBA with zero white players. The whitest player on the team is the newly acquired Banham, who has a Black father. Contrast that to the Indiana Fever, which are tied with the New York Liberty as the whitest teams in the league. Fielding a team that’s 42 percent white in a league that’s over 70 percent Black? I dunno, man, it feels like choices were made, you know what I’m saying?
