Think it’s a wise move on Jack Black’s part to let things cool off after Kyle Gass’s wildly irresponsible wish on hoping Trump got assassinated. Even if you like Trump, which I loathe the motherfucker too, you just don’t say shit like that & Tenacious D doesn’t seem like the band to make political statements in perpetuity, anyway. As for people being “upset” or “disappointed” in Black protecting his band (Gass & their families), cuz, ya know, death threats & shit, keep proving Michelle Obama right. There’s no “going low”, for the good, no matter what. Social Media has fucked us up so much. Take it easy.

I think Jack Black did the right thing because people are crazy. In this highly tense time, the right is shooting people. I can see why they called up the tour. It’s why I don’t go a lot of places these days.
I heard that little girl’s national anthem when it came out so I didn’t think that country singer’s was that bad. I figured she was high. That little girl goes down as the worst and frankly it’s the anthem this country deserves. But it just goes to show that sometimes you have to tell your kids no.
In Alito’s “defense”, he never cared about the Constitution. Snyder v Phelps (2011), he supported the Westboro Baptist Churches right to use hate speech and incitements to violence around funerals for gay people. In Janus v American Federation of State (2018), he ruled that Unions had to continue to provide services to non-members but could not get compensated because the first amendment apparently supports the right to freeload off of the hard work of labor unions according to the crayon-sprawled rantings of some federalist society hack…
He was also on the court that in DC v Heller (2008) and McDonald v Chicago (2010) rewrote the second amendment as an individual right to bear arms that could not be regulated without the express permission of a handful of idjits in black robes who don’t give flying fuck about the Constitution or people’s rights not to be shot.
I’ve got more, but those are just the ones off the top of my head. The five justices that were appointed by people who lost the popular vote and Justice Uncle Thomas need to be impeached for perjury to Congress, because they all lied when they said that Roe was settled law during their appointment hearings. They are lying, corrupt, political hacks that should be in prison, not on the bench.

I did hear that child anthem from Rod’s Twitter. It is still so funny that I almost choked on popcorn while working today when you and Karen played it. I literally thought the woman singing at the MLB game sounded like she could be the grown up version of the little girl.
This episode was another Award Winning Banger. Everyone give these two an extra ovation. I was listening during my walking and was like I’ll write in about RNC convention, then you hit me with so much good time in the multiple stories and segments that when you topped it with the award-winning vocals on the national anthem. I just bursted out in tears on these Brooklyn streets. Goddamn, call your Congress person, NAACP Chapter, write to all the Podcast Associations and YouTube. TBGWT is improving our health globally and deserves a Nobel Prize or two. Seriously, give a warning next time before that national anthem sanging by the greatest singer of all time. Fuck them kids needs to be a national law for certain things. Overall, great episode including the serious stuff too. Ya’ll the best!
I just wanted to quickly add for Tenacious D that they have a song calling Trump a KKK member and a Neo-Nazi called marCH, so it’s wild that that joke was the one over the line when they’ve said stuff before. It feels super performative to me to keep Jack Black’s money.
