Do you find yourself judging people who drive Teslas?

I was never really interested in Tesla until moving to Charlotte and my cousin getting one. The cyber trucks looks like they were drawn by a toddler. But that model y is sexy.

I was at a traffic light and in the next lane was a dude in a Tesla, sipping his Starbucks coffee and looking at this phone. I said to myself that Tesla has a type and it’s this dude next to me. I will freely judge anyone who drives those damn things.

Do I judge people who buy Teslas? All Teslas? Yes, I certainly do! I would give allowances for people with older models who may have purchased it before he revealed himself, but after that? No sir, no ma’am, you are making a conscious choice. Why would I put my hard earned dollars for an already expensive car in that MFer’s pocket? Last I saw, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Nissan and others also make electric cars that don’t lock you inside when the battery dies; rather do that than deal with that unstable such and such.

I think the “short tie” trend Karen mentioned she has been seeing lately is not actually guys that are wearing their neck ties short, but wearing neckerchiefs or bandanas that are in vogue nowadays. Especially with the rise in temperatures lately a lot of folks have forgone wearing the traditional shirt and tie and are wearing open collared shirts with a bandana tied for a more relaxed and summer casual look. I could be wrong and there are people actually wearing really short ties, but I’d venture out and say thats what it is; my name is Suavy P after all!… Love the show as always!

Rod, my ears perked up so fast when you began talking about the Lord of the Rings, which, in my opinion, is the greatest movie ever made of all time. And it’s exactly because of the extraordinary lengths the entire production staff, cast and crew went to making everything so believable despite being the ultimate fantasy IP. It took that film almost a decade to make. Almost every single prop or article of clothing you see on film was made from scratch (not bought from a prop store). Director Peter Jackson’s goal from day 1 was to make Middle Earth a place that actually existed. It is why The Shire (where the hobbits are from) is in fact, actually a REAL PLACE! It is a bucket list item of mine to visit in New Zealand one day. I highly encourage any fan of documentaries and want to know more behind the scenes of the making of the original LoTR trilogy to seek the Appendices which has hours of hours of details of how this masterpiece of a film was made. It was after watch

** It was after watching the Appendices is when my appreciation for this film hit an entirely new level. It’s truly one of the greatest achievements in cinema, and art in general!

No woman sleeps their way to the top. Men withhold raises and career advances in exchange for sexual exploitation is the real way that accusation needs to go.

And about Waze… I was DONE done when it tried taking me down an old closed road in my own town. Here I thought I was about to find a shortcut… lord when I tell you, “Old Stagecoach Road” is not a ROAD-road – it is a grown over path through the woods that was literally a damn stagecoach road 100+ years ago! Waze, do better!

I will never forgive the media and the democrats in general for what they did to Joe Biden. I think he’s done a good job these past four years and they acted like he was on his last leg. Yes he’s old but so is Dump. And Dump is a felon. But Joe played the big joker and pulled out of the race and already I see the headlines saying he’s abandoning the country. This is what they claim they wanted but I don’t really think they wanted this. They wanted headlines. I especially love that Dump’s campaign can no longer play the Dementia Joe card. Dump’s people will push the narrative that the VP slept her way to the top but that will probably turn off some of the waffling white women who are on the fence. And the Copmala narrative won’t really work either because then they can’t claim to be the party of law and order because he’s a felon. In other words they are scrambling and I love it. For the first time since the news on Sunday, I’m not only feeling hopeful but optimistic.

I don’t understand why people still but Tesla’s either, especially since they notoriously break down and if it gets too cold you can’t charge them.

I have the same reaction to those Tesla Cybertrucks. I automatically think the person driving it is a sucker. Their safety stats are astonishingly bad, in addition to their huge price tag and connection to Elon Musk.

I appreciate you guys dropping another episode. I personally believe that another death sentence for the Director of the Secret Services was that she’s a woman. The GOP in especially the House have a thing for turning up against women appointees. From the little bit I know from security protocols, Trump broke that multiple times after the assassination attempt. It’s only natural that it be a woman’s fault. According to GOP law (another topic that Ezra Klein & his gang could have been proactively talking about but nope).

Finally, I sometimes like to listen to the Hollywood Reporter and Variety actors/director roundtable on YouTube. There’s a panel from 6 or 7 years ago that included Maershala Ali, Chadwick Boseman, Timothee Chalemaee, Hugh Jackman, Viggo Mortensen and Hugh E Grant. They had some insightful talk about acting, what they respect. Rod, you reminded me of that conversation with your talk about LOTR. I appreciate the best podcasting duo in the world!

    Rod and Karen are LIARS!!!!

Multiple times this week, they have started the show with “it’s gonna be a short episode.”

    *looks at the episode*

It’s an hour 10min, an hour 30, and damn near 3 hours; the Tippy hive is thriving; thank you for lying and waking up Karen.

Also, Karen, please continue to slander Crunchyroll whenever you get a chance. They’re the worst.

    Hello Rod and Karen,

It amazes me how predictable Twitter is. The flip-flopping, line moving and agenda changing is a thing to behold.

First, you have those who were calling Biden a dimwitted, doddering, dementia laden threat to society and the Democratic Party as late as Saturday, who are now claiming that while the Republicans were playing checkers, Biden was playing chess all along because that’s how brilliant he is by Monday. This new narrative (which conveniently absolve them of any culpability in the vicious pile on that resulted in the chaos, and confusion that pushed Biden out of the presidential race), alleges that Biden’s plan from the beginning was to perform poorly during the debate to have the Republicans hyper focus on him leading up to and all through their convention, so that when he stepped aside and put Kamala in place, they would have to spend all their time scrambling and pivoting. According to them, if you look at the timeline of things, the clues were there all along (again, conveniently making their actions a helpful part of Biden’s “master plan”).

Then, you have the usual suspects crawling back out of the bowels of hell they rested in, dog-whistling (Kamala’s poor work ethic, her past dating history, she’s not really Black, etc., etc.), followed by the posters who are feigning Blackness to slander Harris, and those who are Black, but who are as much for the betterment of Black people as Clarence Thomas, Candace Owens, Tim Scott and Van Jones are, spreading outright lies about Harris and her record in California and Washington. What remains to be seen is if people are still stupid enough to believe the lies this time around.

If sleeping their way to the top was a real option for any woman, shouldn’t we see more women of any ethnicity without the right education and experience at the top? Most people at the “top” are still men and the few women up there are mostly extremely well educated and qualified. We had Frau Merkel up there who is a doctor in physics for example.

  13. ApiafromGermany

I’m impressed by the new political development and it almost seems like a Joe Biden masterplan to step down at exactly this point in time.
It’s very cool see all the support for Kamala and I feel the energy.
