Was the Chick Fil-a worker being racist on purpose?

I think what’s happened to music in the early 2000s is happening to anime. So many people go on pirate sites and expect to watch everything for free but then complain about low quality and viruses. And what’s worse they complain when their favorite anime only get one season because so many people pirate them there’s no metrics to measure how many people are watching so studios don’t think they’re popular so they don’t make second seasons. It’s so frustrating. People are so entitled.

I truly believe the Chic-Fil-A worker was not trying to be racist. Have you noticed that these kids can’t spell worth a damn? They stop doing weekly spelling test. He had no idea how to spell Marquise. My name is Erica and I’ve seen all kinds of spelling.

JL’s Trump impersonation is so spot-on it’s scary.

Feedback on iHeart Radio ads; they’re not good. Not the ads or the length of the ads, but they just seem to put them any f***ing place they feel like! It didn’t seem to be an issue when you first moved to the platform, but it’s definitely an issue (to me) now. In this episode, you started the Guess The Race segment, you said two words, and that’s where they decided to put the ads. You put in music for ad breaks, but the ads don’t appear anywhere near your music breaks, either before or after, just someplace that’s abrupt.
Anyway, love your show! Continue to flourish and get paid!

so it’s not just me. For me they tend to be around 30s-ish off from the intended slots.

Always good to hear from J-L! The question I have is what was the Maher clip? You talked about it, but didn’t actually explain the take.

Happy Anniversary to the BEST Podcasters in the world.

It’s always a fun time whenever JL is around. I’ll add his special to both our Prime accounts and continue to rewatch especially once the Paralympics is over. Yes, continue to call out wanksters who never want to hold GOP accountable.

People brawling over unseasoned chicken, too bad my man wasn’t there to bring the gospel of “chickens dying every day ” stop this violence and move on to goats. I’ve never heard of anyone forgetting to season goats. In a few years, there’ll be no one to send to prison over needless violence. Avoid the chickens, eat goat. It’s science!

When I was a child , I was in Poland and didn’t even know what comedy was and that was probably for the best, how I imagine polish comedy in the 80-ties and 90-ties.
I wish J-L all the best and all the success he can handle and many Co-Fans. ( I hope that’s a lot eventually)
He is always a good and very funny guest.

I feel like the Polish would appreciate the late Gallagher’s comedy. At least my Polish family did.

        This might prove my point.

Karen, you was fucking spitting talking about how folk’s demands for everything to be free led us to a point where we’re learning the hard way what that cheapness actually begets and it fucking sucks. Y’all was especially on point about how people’s entitlement to free media led to the hell hole we’re in now when it comes to journalistic standards and all the free misinformation we got milly rocking up and down the timeline. As someone that read the New York Times almost every day between 2000 and 2009, I get depressed realizing that Fox News back then set the information standards of today (do y’all got a drop of Randolph Terrance saying “whiteness” with the Phonte inflection cuz that’s how this feels to me).

I love hearing JL Cauvin talk about comedy cuz it’s kinda like hearing advanced analytics folks talk about football; it’s someone viewing a medium through complicated-sounding yet common sense standards. Beyond listening to Righteous Prick of past and Rain On Your Parade of today,I knew comedy was in trouble when I saw folks who were funny on Twitter get comedy specials on Netflix (Jaboukie is my main example of this shit) and like…funny on Twitter don’t mean funny at stand up, but nowadays comics have to already have a following before a large company take’s notice. SMDH. Shit, I know JL would’ve put up numbers like Michael Jordan vs a children’s hospital’s cancer ward number on a Comedy Central Presents. I miss Comedy Central Presents cuz that’s how I found out about a slew of comics. When I was a kid, one of my favorite comics said that Twitter is not a stand up comedy stage (favorite comic as a kid was Patrice O’Neal; that’s probably why I write into Balls Deep Sports the way I do).

Eh I typed too much here but I miss when folks were pre-shamed outta trying stand-up cuz they knew actual funny people had that roast on deck after they pulled a Nichols-McVeigh on-stage.

    Peace,

    Dough
