Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is just a spooky, but enjoyable vibes movie, mostly because the cast is just giddy being in another one of these, so it gets by, even if I had misgivings on Bellucci’s succubus bringing nothing to the table (and how that whole third act was doing a lot, imo), besides looking like a billion bucks, cuz, she’s Monica Bellucci. Still amazed Michael Keaton still has the juice for this. For a man that’s 73 years old, he’s sure as hell fooling a lot of us like his undead jester counterpart being vibrant as hell.
Looks great, soundtrack’s good & it doesn’t overstay its welcome.
It’s literally the “good job, good effort” of legasequels: Unrequired but cool.
As much of a bop that “Soul Train” part of the movie was, Tim Burton will never put a black lead in it. What a pity.
I don’t know if I would watch this movie cause I have not seen the 1st (no boycott, just one of those weird facts about me). However, I was just waiting to know if Tim Burton was about to get the cookout invite, I guess not.
Also, I didn’t realize that if I left comments on older episodes that they would get read in the year of Optimus Prime 2024 during pumpkin spice season. Cracks fingers …
Great review as always.
