I was listening to a podcast years ago. It was either A Way with Words or The Grammar Girl Podcast. On this particular episode they discussed middle names. And they explained why serial killers and high profile killers always have middle names. According to them, media outlets read the middle names of these people to avoid a mistaken identity scenario. So John Gacy becomes John Wayne Gacy. So other John Gacy’s are not confused as the dude with bodies in his basement. Love the show as always peace!
I’m late to the convo on this subject but I didn’t know not having a middle name was a thing. The only person in my life I’ve ever met without a middle name is my dad. I have a middle name as does my kid. If we ever assassinate anyone I’ll let you know or you’ll probably hear about it on the news.
This Diddy Debacle is honestly very disheartening. He was such a significant piece of the culture. Sad to see this is what his legacy will consist of. The comparison of Diddy and other white alleged abusers is nonsense. It’s all wrong.

As someone with the middle name “Kil” I will continue to sit out the discussion on Nominative Determination of middle names in relation to serial killers and assassins… [slings shovel over shoulder and leaves the the comment section]

Regarding Diddy and Usher being victims in their childhood-look, I was recently diagnosed with PTSD due to things I experienced in my childhood. I knew it was wrong the entire time and I know how it made me feel. I have not done ANY of that to my children because I know how bad it made me feel. It can’t be used as an excuse to continue the cycle. I’ve been through therapy and am continuing therapy to address these issues to make sure I am the best person I can be and not take it out on my kids. Because they are innocent. I was innocent when it happened to me.
Also-this is probably a hot take-not everyone who does evil horrendous things has a diagnosable mental illlnes. Sometimes people are just evil assholes. I’ve worked with people with schizophrenia in the throes of psychosis and they know right from wrong. Which is heartbreaking in a way because a lot of times they were fighting so hard against the voices.
Bottom line-yes mental health is an issue the US needs to address much better than they do. But we can’t give people who do horrendous things the benefit of the doubt citing mental illness/childhood abuse.
Now b4 I left the shores on the continent, I had experienced power loss for weeks and even months and none of that was due to any natural disasters. It was all man made. They going through one right now, family says the person in charge is supposedly flying in the parts for repairs from who knows where (maybe Westeros) so no electricity for over a month. Good thing no hurricanes or typhoons in that part of Africa.
But that’s not why I’m here. You see BROTHER, you’re not yourself without some pumpkin spiced into your life. What’s next you not gonna wear Uggs? Re:birth certificates. The reason the bio mom’s name is taken off is because our names are put on. I think there should be a section for bio parents but that is a longer more complex thing that involves the law.
Also-the way my son jumps on me and laughs when I say ouch! And will mock me…you might be on to something Rod!
