As a life-long New Yorker, I loved Rae Sanni’s thoughts on Officer Mayor. The rumors of his corruption, and being a Republican, have been floating since well before his ran for the position of mayor, as was the fact that he did not even live in the state, let alone the city. I think what is happening to his crew is two-fold.

First, we see those whose desire is to emulate the white power structure getting caught out there from the delusion of inclusion (you will never be able to do the dirt they do and get away with it Black man). Second we see the real power structure of the city (look at the history of the mayors in this city that ultimately progressed to them just being able to put Guiliani in place), setting up to make sure that a hard right Republican gets the reign of the city next. This has always been the game plan, hence to rank voting system put in place during Adams’ run, which enabled him to become the Democratic candidate despite not garnering a majority of the vote. Having placed a “Pro-Police Black Man” in the office they can now argue for the hard swing right for the next candidate. They will succeed once again because of anti-blackness that allows white people and other non-white New Yorkers to vote against their interests (much as we see throughout the country), and the fact that unlike places in the south, there is no need to strip our vote in NYC because the Black voter turn-out is so low. Again, they don’t have to oppress you, ounce you have been conditioned to oppress yourself.

I have no sympathy at all for that minority who caught those MAGA hands. That individual must know that 45 will not do anything that will benefit blacks or their station in the world.

Outside of that, in Indiana, former clan stronghold and Republican supermajority, early voting started and I went on Tuesday morning and the place was packed! One individual in attendance had a VOTE EARLY shirt and a top hat in red and blue. In all, it took me 30 minutes to cast my vote because of the foot traffic. If this was a Tuesday in Indiana, I can’t imagine what it is like in other states.

Rae Sanni is always a fun guest. I thought it was interesting to hear a New Yorkers perspective on Eric Adams. They’re going to put that man under the jail.
The way I would have looked the other way if I saw a black MAGA person getting beat up by white maga because why are you even there? Hell, I wouldn’t be there. And I bet that uncle ruckus coon will probably make excuses for his attackers. Wanting white validation that damn much must be an illness.

One more thing, I got to shout-out Rae for the Eric Adams bit. She didn’t do what many have been doing taking the Twitter route. A large chunk of his support is Black and Latino. If you listen to FAQ NYC which I can’t recommend enough. Local journalists who have been on the scene forever point out the errors big media make while covering Adams and how he’s smart use that. Plus they go beyond exposing him, they also show how he can still get a second term. That press conference where everyone was laughing at the dashiki wearing peeps was a coded threat at a governor who is not in a strong position ‘that you need my supporters, they’re with me’. Cuomo and the GOP main candidate have said that they won’t run against Adams. He’s not scared of liberals, they don’t come out to vote in numbers plus 4 liberal candidates have already declared for mayor race. The guys at FAQ NYC especially Prof Christina Greer (check out her interview on Frontline The Choice 2024) breakdown Eric Adams excellently that once you set aside the Twitter noise. It’s clear that if the Left doesn’t get it’s act together and unite, we probably end up with a Mayor Cuomo (except he goes for governor). I was at a networking event organized by a popular group of Black men in the city last week. They’re all in on Eric Adams and the leader was trying to throw shade at Kamala Harris and a bunch of them are Haitians too (including the leader). Shit is wild. FAQ NYC is the only place that correctly pointed out after Maya Wiley said “Defund the Police” on the debate stage, it was over. I voted for her but it wasn’t even close!

Do wah ditty! You a whole mess of joy, rolling on through like a train full of laughter. I’m sitting here, chuckling so hard I fell on the floor, and then you come barreling in with more. That title, The Green Envelope, sparks curiosity. It’s a delightful mix of authenticity and sheer absurdity. You’ve got a knack for finding merriment in everything. I appreciate you for bringing a smile to my soul. Keep shining!

My Industrie rarely tried the AI thing and turning everything digital.
The good news is, it’s not working at all.
My job combines science, relationship management and sales and the relationship management is about 80% in it.
The important scientist- doctor doesn’t want to interact with a machine. They ignore it and demand a human, a person they ideally already know and have good experiences with.
    Good for my employment.

Ebony is a super dense hardwood (sinks in water) that is nigh black in colour. It is possibly the most valuable wood in the world, but is getting close to extinction due to overuse. A famous literary reference is the ebony clock in Edgar Allan Poe’s Masque of the Red Death.

We go to the Schomburg Center at least once a year all the way from Brooklyn cause there’s a Black Comic Con that happens there and that’s my shit. Been taking my kid since she was a baby. Last year I also attended an African film event that someone I had connected with in Algeria, informed me about, his movie was playing at the same venue (he couldn’t get a visa to attend unfortunately). So I went in support although I had seen the film before the screening. It was a documentary about a few Black Panthers who moved to Algeria after America got too hot for them and how they were able to settle and carry on until things fell apart with then Algerian president. It wasn’t a large crowd, it was mad entertaining when “WHite devil” was muttered by a man near me and I noticed heads shaking . When the movie ended, everyone applauded. I told my friend in Algiers the reactions, he was crying in joy that his film resonated with a black audience. Black Panthers of Algeria is the title, it’s on YouTube now. A lot of French and Arabic is spoken with English fyi. Never a dull event at Schomburg, I need to attend more events there!

I’m 52 years old. I’m a born and raised Brooklynite. I was a commuter college student and grad student. I am NYC through and through but I’ve hardly seen or been to the touristy sites. Because I had such bad asthma as a kid, I wasn’t allowed to go on school trips to the tourist attractions. Over the past 3 years, I’ve made it a point to go to the museums, historical districts, all the different beaches and the like. I’m now okay with doing things alone. I realized that I had been waiting for friends or lovers to join me and accomplished nothing. Second adolescence for the win. Love when Rae is on.

    I love Ellie.
