Rod and Karen banter, bringing up old conversations later; the Apple weather app gets specific; taking down Christmas decorations; Rod got gloves; the 15th Anniversary of TBGWT; the January 6th anniversary; Horizon: An American Saga; and nerdy basketball references. Then they discuss a lawsuit against Fox Sports 1.

In Steve A Smith voice, I know that brother Rod and that sister Karen, very hard working duo, two of the best in the podcasting industry, even better than myself and you know how high I regard myself Shannon? I just want to say despite Rod maintaining a beef with me, despite I, I ,who has NEVER led a child astray (I’m not a Squid Games villain) Despite my goodness, and Rod’s continued bias towards the Middle names Federation. However, I just want to take this moment to congratulate ya’ll on a solid 15th anniversary! I get it now, Nick Cannon has been trying to have more kids than the number of years you’ve been podcasting. Ya’ll are the BEST and any roasting of me, ain’t coming to me, it’s Steve A Smith who gets the bullets. A toast to more success of the TBGWT!
One week of celebrating is declared
I was never offered a significant amount of money for sex, the closest it ever came to it is when a creepy guy grabbed me in the elevator once and asked me how much for sex with me. I doubt he had 1.5 million in mind.
And I always wonder the same as Rod wondered. How would I get that money? On my bank account? You know I don’t do checks.
Cash is pretty suspicious, especially that I would use it to buy a bigger house in our city.
What brings up more problems.
What do I say to my parents how I got that money, assuming that Mr Apia would be ok with it?
Probably it’s best that I was never offered this kind of exchange.
Resistance Is hard, especially when you have a normal life otherwise.
You want to do some resistance, but notice that you have a physical therapy appointment on that day. And you need groceries and your car needs a cleaning.
It’s much easier when you don’t have other real stuff going on, ideally when you live with your parents ( no matter what age) and they provide lots of the life stuff. and even than, it’s not easy.
You have to organize stuff and break some rules. People don’t like that.
Happy 15th. I don’t know what year it was that I started listening but it was back when Twib was still going and listened on Stitcher. Congrats for keeping out attention.
Don’t fret about the Christmas lights. I have not taken down my tree since December 2023. When the seasons change it turns into a summer tree and I put up a string of cardboard BBQ grillsand other summer fair.
Happy 15th Anniversary! I did not get my feedback in on time last week. Thank you both for the laughter, the jokes, and the hard work you do each episode. I received my Christmas card while I was on vacation last week. Five Stars!
Happy 15th anniversary! Thanks for all the years of excellent podcasting and for still being here. Listening to the show is consistently one of the highlights of my day, and I know it is for so many others (who should leave 5 star reviews!!)
Regarding the poll question, my then-girlfriend (now ex-wife) and I were stationed together on the same ship. Does that count?
Yes it does, ya’ll are part of the infamous Naval Operational Sea Romantics (NOSR). Would the US Navy even exist today without NOSR events? You best vote YES!
