Hi, Nerd Off Crew! I just wanted to pop in and say that I’ve been playing PowerWash Simulator, and I love it! It is amazing to zone out while play-washing a dirty house or vehicle.
    Have a good one yall!

What it do Nerd Off Crew,

I hope all is good with y’all.

Is this the golden age of Metroidvanias? I’m late to everything and been playing this game called Dead Cells and I gotta say: this shit is straight *FLAMES*! There are a shit ton of weapons, monsters, weapon synergy and a shit ton of references to *other* Metroidvanias like Shovel Knight, Kantana Zero (a game I swear by) *and* a slew of quality of life elements like portals to move around the map once you’ve discovered enough of it. How did folks in the olden days manage to play all those Castlevania games without any of these? Honestly, I’m surprised Dead Cells doesn’t have any mention of Noita (another game I’m addicted to). I also downloaded Purgatory 2 and am waiting for Hades 2 to get on the Switch (I think I’m near the endgame in Hades 1). You know the game is good when it’s best described in run-on sentences.

Also that anime Jiujutsu Kaisen? That shit hits harder than Yuji kicking demons in the head. My girlfriend has also put me onto another anime I’d never seen before called Bleach, about some grumpy ginger with a big ass sword. It’s interesting seeing how anime, especially shonens, have changed over the years. What changed or evolutions in anime have y’all noticed over the years?

I hope y’all have a wonderful weekend and I can’t wait to see y’all live next week!

    Peace,

    Dough

    G’Day Nerds,

I enjoyed the new Cap movie. Thought the action in it was fun. The Thunderbolts & F4 trailers look good as well.

Since I’m on a spending money on stuff ban in the lead up to my trip to Star Wars Celebration, I saved up $60 worth of Xbox rewards points to cash in for that Two Point Museum game that comes out next week & got the Sonic pre-order bonus. Karen, it’s almost time to run these museums.

Other then that, I’ve just been running around in Fortnite stomping on people as Godzilla & putting Aussie animals in my Planet Zoo game.

    Have a good 1
    Wonga

Yo, yo, yo, what’s good, fellow nerds?

So, I got a PlayStation 5. A digital model w/o the disc drive & I love it. I didn’t realize how much I’ve missed gaming on a Sony platform. I skipped the generations of the PS3-PS4, mostly because I was living at home with my parents. Not to mention internet connectivity & I just didn’t want to deal with that with my family but anyway, I’m loving it. Played the first Spider-Man for it & it’s as awesome as advertised, same for God of War ’18. Astro Playroom is nice, but it’s too gimmicky for me. I’ve spent much of my time in the PS+ store playing older games, particularly on the PSP end & lets just say, I sort of glad I didn’t buy a PSP, since the controls are stiff, due to the original system being relegated to only having one analog stick, but, I’m having fun.

Cap 4? It was fine. Certainly could’ve been better if Marvel Studios wasn’t overly tinkering with it. Mackie did a very good job alongside Harrison Ford. Admittedly, could’ve been worse, but could’ve been a lot better, considering it’s a Captain America film. I do think Thunderbolts* & Fantastic Four: First Steps will go along much better.

    Peace, y’all.

Hi fellow nerds! I know that you do recommendations so I’m hoping for a few here. I’m looking to get back into graphic novels. I read a lot of Saga (before their very long hiatus), Something is killing the children, Sex Criminals, Girls, Bitter Root and The wicked and divine. Can you give me more? I’m trying to find some books similar to these. Make sure you add at least one niggerish one . I am pure nigga by the way lol. Is there another app like Comixology? I miss that place. And lastly, Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man was black and brown af. Perhaps the kid who plays Spider-Man is secretly an agent cause that woke comment he made is funny as hell after watching this season. They did a fantastic job, especially with that ending. Thanks to you and all the fellow nerds Rod. This is my fav show in your premium lineup.

    Salutations Awesometastic Nerds,

I just watched Watch Mojo’s breakdown of what’s happening with Neil Gaiman and goddaaaaaaaaam the number of victims range from 8 to 14 to 20 women. I thought it was a one-time incident, not realizing that we are looking at decades of abusive behavior. It’s even alleged that the “cancelation” of Dead Boy Detectives by Netflix was tied to his scandal (he has since stepped away from producing and overseeing Good Omens season 3, Anansi Boys, and The Sandman S2). Production was paused by Amazon and Netflix, but those shows haven’t been canceled. I’m going to read the New York magazine article that has more details than Watch Mojo 14 minute video. This was a big let down by Neil Gaiman, I’m a big fan of his work, can’t look at the dark stuff he’s written the same anymore.

    Just a quick question:

If I want to try some of these animated shows, should i go for subbed or dubbed version? I lean toward dubbed because I don’t want to have to read my show, but I also don’t want to watch a not-great version of the thing.
